Updates
Hello!
I hope this note finds you well. It has been awhile since I have sent out any communication. I’m sure you’ve been missing it! All jokes aside, I do have a few updates to share with you.
Holiday Appointments
I usually send out a reminder to prebook holiday appointments in August, but I never got around to it this year! About this time of year I recommend having at least two appointments scheduled at all times depending on the frequency of your visits. I have added Thursday afternoons/evenings in the three weeks leading up to Christmas to accommodate the demand. There should be something for everyone! If you have trouble scheduling online, please email or text me. Calling is a bit difficult at the moment because I’m either with clients or loud children.
Current Schedule
Right now, my work schedule is Tuesdays from 8:00am-3:00pm, Wednesdays from 3:00pm-8:30pm, and Fridays from 8:00am-3:00pm. I have been extending my days regularly to accommodate more clients and I will continue to do so if my personal schedule doesn’t conflict.
Upcoming Vacations/Breaks
I have recently made the decision to take off the weeks that my children are out of school so that I can spend more “off time” with them. These weeks are: December 27th-31st, February 21st-25th, April 11th-15th, and June 6th-10th(tentative). I have never done this before, but I think it has become necessary.
Color Price Increase
I have tried to avoid increasing prices for a long time. It’s so difficult as a business owner to have to do it. I am sure you are all very aware that the cost of living has increased rapidly due to Covid, inflation, and supply issues. My product distributor notified us this week that the cost of all products are going up substantially. In order to keep my business healthy, I am increasing all color services by $10. The foil add-on service base price will increase by $5. This increase will take effect on December 1, 2021.
Additional Notes
As many of you know, we have had exceptional challenges with PG&E during the last few months. We have been experiencing extended power outages lasting anywhere from 12-48 hours without notice or extreme weather. Some of you have already been impacted because I have had to reschedule. It has been incredibly annoying and stressful. I apologize for any inconvenience. You have all been so understanding and gracious through all of this! PG&E seems to have fixed the problem. As I write this, I probably just guaranteed that we will lose power tomorrow! In light of this uncertainty, we have decided to install solar and batteries. We are projected to have the project done before the end of the year. I will try my best to get the contractors to work around my work schedule. There is a possibility that I may have to move appointments if the installation lands on one of my work days. I will let you know if your appointment time is impacted. I apologize in advance! Also, as the weather changes, please drive with care up Highway 17. The first rain of the season tends to cause more accidents due to the dirt and oil that settled on the road for 6+ months. I would rather have you arrive a little late than endanger yourself barreling up the hill!
I hope the worst of Covid is behind us so that we can enjoy the holiday season while looking beautiful!
Take care,
Jessica
