Hello!
Jessica has always had a love for hair artistry and people. Her journey began after she graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a degree in Dance and Business. She loved her chosen course of study, but it left her wanting more. She wanted to pursue a career she was passionate about. Remembering the love she had for the beauty industry, she set out to attend Carsten Institute, an Aveda Concept School in New York City. While living in New York, Jessica worked as an apprentice in a busy salon in the West Village while in cosmetology school. It was "all hair, all the time" for her! After graduating from Carsten in 2007, Jessica wanted to move back home to San Jose. She was overjoyed to be hired at Atelier Salon in Santana Row. She thrived there, going from a student to the Director of Education and Master Artist. After 11 years at Atelier, she is now ready to embark on her next adventure by opening Dandelion Hair Studio. She believes that the hair is just part of the equation. How a guest feels when they leave is the most important part of what she does.
In recent news, 2020 has brought about change for all of us. Jessica is no exception. As the COVID-19 crisis rages on, Jessica has been forced to re-evaluate her values, lifestyle, and what is good for the health of her business. As of September 22, 2020, she is moving her salon up to her property in the Los Gatos Mountains. Eric and Jessica have renovated a 237 square foot shed into a beautiful salon retreat. She looks forward to welcoming clients to this beautiful new space!
On a personal note, Jessica is married and has three children. Her husband owns a bagel shop in Willow Glen called Bagel Guys Bakery and a coffee shop in Morgan Hill called Coffee Guys. With two entrepreneurs and three children in the family, they are never bored!
